Construction has begun!
The excitement is high across all Rock Spot Climbing locations as we wait eagerly to begin wall construction at our newest location on 42 Rice Street in Providence, RI on the historic West Side of Providence. Construction has begun with a new AC unit already installed and our wall developer, Vertical Solutions coming in later this month to begin wall construction!
We’ll be down the street from the historic Cranston Street Armory, right next to Central High School and the Providence Career & Technical Academy.
If you’re living at the Pearl Street Loft Apartments, we’ll be in the same building!
We’re working with Vertical Solutions, a company known for their unique style which you can see from the video tour below of their gym in Salt Lake City, Utah, “The Front.”
The new gym will focus on bouldering and training with a treadwall, 2 adjustable training walls including both a Moon board and the new Kilter board!
Being on this side of Providence will be a great opportunity to provide accessible climbing to the up and coming community and with dedicated parking right in front of the gym our climbers can easily hop off of the highway from anywhere in the state.
