THE NEW WALLINGFORD, CT FACILITY
With all the exciting project announcements, we want to make sure no one missed our announcement regarding our plans for a brand new facility next door to our Wallingford, CT gym
It was easy to miss in our announcements about our upcoming New Haven, CT & Brookline, MA projects that upon completion of RSC New Haven later this year, we will begin the process of constructing a brand new, world-class facility in the space next to our current Wallingford gym!
This new Wallingford facility will be the realization of a process that began at the beginning of 2022, when we took over management and operations of the current facility. While we all have fond memories of the current space, it has many physical limitations that hold it back from being the facility the Wallingford, and greater Connecticut community could have. These walls were made with love, but they are a product of the times they were built in.
The community and industry are outgrowing the original concept for what the space was originally designed for. The new facility will not only be a major update in wall volume, but it will also feature state-of-the-art training technology, including a fully adjustable 12ftx12ft Decoy Board from local legend, Dan Yagman. Along with climbing focused training amenities, the gym will also have an array of cardio and weight training equipment. The recently installed Rogue Rig will be moved over to the new facility and more features will be added to support our community’s pursuit of personal health and fitness.
This all takes time, so we appreciate your patience as we focus on New Haven. You may have seen some updates already happening next door, like the new handicap ramp and a LOT of movement of resources to prepare the space for construction. We will be sure to keep everyone updated as things happen so please follow along and get psyched for everything to come.
