Get out and climb.
Let us show you how
We’re offering a discounted outdoor climbing event in partnership with the City of Malden Recreation Department and the local organization, First Seed Sown, as part of the Great Malden Outdoors project!
This climbing event is based on our Outdoor Climbing Experience program, but designed to be at an even more accessible price point. We have two sessions available on Saturday, June 1: The first session runs from 10AM until 11:30AM and the second session runs from 11:30AM until 1PM.
This program is recommended for ages 8+, but all ages are welcome as we allow parents to decide if their climber is comfortable at height as every child is different. That said, all children under the age of 18 must have a parent on site during the event.
Adults are also encouraged to climb as well so don’t think the sport or this event is only for children.
No experience necessary and we’ll provide the gear and basic instruction to get you climbing in minutes, but we do recommend participants consider how they feel at height as each pitch can be over 30ft off the ground and with an incredible view of the city below, you will DEFINITELY feel like you are having an adventure!
We recommend comfortable clothing, but please be sure to also pack sun block, a hat, sunglasses, and consider packing some rain gear if there’s a chance of rain in the forecast.
All participants will meet at the parking lot just before their designated time slot, but parking in the lot is limited so you may have to park at the bottom of the hill, before the entrance to the park. Please respect all city parking ordinances in the surrounding area and we ask that all participants take into account travel to the climbing pitch when planning their day.
Please review all the info in the tabs below and if you have any questions, please reach out to our Guiding Coordinator Jay at j.adams@rockspotclimbing.com
