Thank you all so much for your patience and support during this difficult time.

Health and government officials in the states of Rhode Island & Massachusetts are entrusting fitness communities to reopen in a limited capacity to help businesses like ours provide our services.

The safety of our community is our top priority. We are all in this together and while we will eventually get back to climbing as we did before the pandemic, we must all do our part now to help each other manage the risk from this virus.

The following policies & protocols were developed to adhere to the guidelines developed by Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut health and government officials and will allow all of us to climb together. For the safety of our staff and community, we ask that you read and comply fully with these policies & protocols as they are required to use our facilities during this initial opening phase.

ALL locations OPEN to ALL CLIMBERS

No reservation necessary

Climbers must agree to follow all of our policies to ensure the safety of our community from the pandemic.

As changes occur, we will keep these policies up to date and there is no guarantee that we will remain open. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented time and look forward to climbing with you all again.

CURRENT MASK AND VACCINE POLICIES

With CDC guideline updates, lower local case numbers, and government mandates relaxing, masks and face coverings are now optional for all vaccinated guests at all times across all locations.

Youth Program climbers and staff will have different policies until the end of the current session so contact your local gym’s Program Manager for questions or clarification.

We are excited that this is a step towards getting back to normal operations and life for most of our staff and climbers. We are committed to providing a comfortable environment for our entire community, including youth climbers and our most vulnerable community members.

Thank you all for helping us manage the risk of our staff and community during this difficult time. As state governments provide further guidance and data, we will continue making updates to our policies through this transitional period. While we are confident we will eventually get back to climbing the way it was before all of this, we still have a long way to go. The only way we’ll get there is to do it together. Please review our temporary safety protocols below and direct questions to Questions@RockSpotClimbing.com.

Groups and small events

With the successful opening of our locations, we have received many requests to host group events. While we are opening our facilities to organizers, the safety of our staff and community remain our primary concern so we are limiting group sizes per location.

Online bookings have been closed and event management will be done with personal care from our local Gym & Program Managers. Group sizes will be reviewed and all bookings will be designed with our community’s safety as the highest priority.

We urge group organizers to heavily consider their maximum group size before planning any event. DO NOT EXCEED group size limits set by local health and government official.

Covid-19 Symptoms

Please review the following graphic from the state of Rhode Island or use the self diagnostic tool from the state of Massachusetts using the link below.

Clean Your Hands

One of the best ways you can protect yourself and others from any possible contamination is to regularly sanitize your hands throughout your visit. This can be done by washing them with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using a hand sanitizer. All climbers are required to sanitize their hands before and after every climbing session. We also suggest that you sanitize your hands frequently throughout your visit as you will regularly be coming into contact with holds that cannot be cleaned between climbers.

Physical Distancing

All staff and customers are asked to remain 3 feet away from each other whenever possible in the gym. People who live together in the same household are not required to maintain 3 feet of distance from each other. Certain areas of the gym, such as the retail store or workout rig, do not allow for easy social distancing and will be clearly marked as limited to one household at a time.

Gym cleanliness

Staff will constantly be cleaning the gym throughout the day, making sure to disinfect high touch points. We ask all guests to disinfect any used fitness equipment after use with the provided cleaner and disposable towels.

Bathrooms

All bathrooms and amenities like showers are open.

Water Stations

All water fountains and bottle refill stations may be used at this time. Feel free to bring your own full water bottle or purchase a drink from our store. Water refill stations are available at all locations besides Boston-Dedham.

Shoes

No street shoes are allowed on the climbing floor

We are continuing to provide rental shoes for our climbers, which will be disinfected after each use before returning into circulation.

Chalk

We will not be renting chalk bags and we ask climbers to not share chalk. Please keep all chalk sealed in a chalk bag when not in use. We strongly encourage the use of liquid chalk as it reduces the amount of dust particles in the air.

Waiver

As always, a waiver is required for all climbers and guests. Please click the button below to fill yours out prior to your arrival to ensure your check-in process is smooth, quick, and contactless.
