Route Setter and Massachusetts Team Head Coach, Doug Page, “Dig” sends a pink V3 set by himself at our Boston-Dedham, MA location. Doug focuses on showing off some alternative beta for climbers who are having difficulty hitting the deep pocket halfway through the problem. As always, while there’s always multiple ways to crush a problem, if this one gives you a hard time, try this beta on for size.

We’re starting an adult climbing league in October 2015!

Teams of 3-4 will compete each week, scoring points for completed climbs, vying for the most points at the end of 6 weeks. Bonus fun points will be awarded throughout the season for things including most climbs in one night, climbing in a team uniform, and theme night participation. The team with the most points at the end of the season not only wins the admiration of their peers and a victory lap, but they will receive a $100 Rock Spot Climbing gift card, and individual prize packs.

If you’re looking to complete your team, please join us at your local gym’s Kickoff Event (see dates below) where you can meet other climbers looking to join!

Welcome to season 2 of Problem of the SET! We’re really excited to be in our second season and we truly appreciate everyone’s support. Keep those likes and subscriptions coming and we promise to make this season even bigger and better than season 1!

At Rock Spot Climbing, we’re dedicated to giving our customers a world class climbing experience and that starts with great route setting.

In this episode of Problem of the SET, route setter Dany Howard “DH” takes us through a V6+ set by Head Route Setter, Mike Dominguez “MIG”. This problem features holds from Climbing Business Journal’s best hold company of 2015, Kingdom Climbing. We’ve brought the names back for this set so this’ll be our first Problem with a name. We called it Kevin’s Bacon. Come and get it!
